History
The UHMC started off as the Heavy Mining Corporation, it's namesake derived from their specialization of mining heavy metals, namely iron and uranium. Over a span of several centuries, the corporation grew in size and started to absorb smaller companies. Eventually, they merged with the Rust Belt Mining Corporation, an asteroid mining company, leading to the company's restructuring to the United Heavy Mining Corporation.
From that point on, the UHMC gained long distance space travel technology in a partnership deal with Dik-Dik Space Technologies, leading to the creation of the sector of the White Donut Galaxy known as UHMC Space. In addition, they have gained multi-dimensional travel capabilities using warp gates, though restricted to certain fleets.
Military Division
The UHMC Military Division is the private army of the UHMC, armed with portable railgun technology.
Research Division
The UHMC Research Division is the research and development companies owned by the UHMC.
